STANDARD COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Promoter
The Promoter is Balkan Competitions, Company Number 15859539, with its registered office at Flat 8, 52 Bounds Green Road, London, N11 2EU, UK.
The Competitions
All draws operated by the Promoter on its website, offering prizes, are referred to as “the Competition” or “Competitions” in these Terms and Conditions. This includes one-off Prize Competitions and instant win add-on prizes (“Instant Win Prize”) within those Competitions.
Multiple Competitions may run concurrently, each offering a specific prize and potentially Instant Win Prizes, as outlined in Clause 7. The availability and pricing of each Competition will be specified on the Website.
Competitions offer both paid and free entry routes. The inclusion of a free entry option ensures that the Competition is not classified as a lottery under the Gambling Act 2005 and can be legally operated in Great Britain.
Each Competition will run for the period specified on the Website. Please refer to the promotion details for each Competition for exact start and end times. The Promoter reserves the right to end Competitions earlier at its discretion, regardless of the stated end time.
Eligibility
Competitions are open to individuals aged 18 or over, who reside in a country where it is legal for them to enter and for the Promoter to award prizes. Employees of the Promoter or any individuals connected to the Promoter (through family, professional, or commercial associations) are not eligible to participate.
By entering a Competition, you confirm:
It is your responsibility to ensure that entering the competition does not breach any laws in your country of residence. The Promoter will not be responsible for any unlawful entries. If in doubt, please contact the relevant authorities.
The Promoter reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any entry at its discretion.
These Competitions are governed by English law, and all disputes will be resolved by the Courts of England.
How to Enter
To enter a Competition, you must first create an account on the Website, providing an email address. You can then submit an online entry form or send a postal entry. Entries must be received before the end of the Promotion Period for the specific Competition.
You will be required to provide the following details:
These details will be used to confirm your entry, notify you if you win, and, in the case of winning, publicly post your name and location on the Website unless you request otherwise.
To enter online, select the desired Competition on the Website and follow the instructions to purchase your tickets. Once payment is processed and confirmed, you will receive an email confirming your ticket purchase.
To enter by post, send your entry to the Promoter’s address. Only one postal entry per person is allowed. Postal entries are treated the same as online entries in terms of eligibility and chances of winning. Bulk entries will not be accepted.
Your entry will not be confirmed until you receive an email or confirmation on your account. If a Competition has sold out, further entries will not be accepted.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or non-compliant entries. The Promoter may also disqualify an entry if it believes the entrant’s conduct is contrary to the spirit of the Competition.
Each Competition page will state the maximum number of entries allowed per person. However, only one free postal entry is allowed per Competition.
If the Competition offers Instant Win Prizes, all valid entries are eligible, whether submitted online or by post.
Competition Judgement
The Promoter guarantees that all draw numbers will be randomly selected using an approved random number generator, such as Google’s random number generator. The results will be live-streamed on platforms like YouTube or Facebook.
Instant Win Prizes will be drawn just before the Competition goes live and cannot be altered once encrypted in the database. The winners will be notified accordingly.
Winners will be contacted via the contact details provided upon entry. If a winner cannot be reached within 5 working days (extendable at the Promoter’s discretion), they forfeit the prize, and it will remain the Promoter’s property.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel any Competition before or after entries are sold. If canceled, Entrants will be notified, and any payments made will be refunded or credited to future Competitions.
Prizes and Delivery
Prizes are selected by the Promoter’s directors and may either be owned or purchased by the Promoter. Delivery of prizes within Great Britain is free. Additional fees may apply for international deliveries.
Prize Winners may opt for a cash alternative to the prize, as determined by the Promoter.
The Prize Winner is responsible for any taxes, duties, or charges related to receiving the prize, and any costs associated with storing the prize beyond 30 days will be covered by the winner.
Prizes are subject to terms and conditions from the Promoter, the prize provider, or manufacturer.
Use of Winner’s Personal Data
Winners may be asked to pose for photographs or videos for promotional purposes. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
Entrants consent to receiving promotional communications and updates about the Promoter’s future Competitions, unless they opt-out.
Limitations of Liability
The Promoter does not guarantee the quality or suitability of the prizes and is not responsible for any loss or damage caused in connection with the prize or competition.
The Promoter’s liability is limited to the value of the prize won or the entry fee paid for Competitions.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
Electronic Communications
The Promoter is not responsible for failed, partial, or garbled computer transmissions, or for issues related to any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic, or internet hardware or software malfunctions. This includes failures in connections, availability, or accessibility due to traffic congestion, unauthorized human actions, or errors. While the Promoter will make reasonable efforts to award the Prize to the correct Entrant, if a Prize is awarded incorrectly due to hardware or software failure or human error, the Promoter reserves the right to reclaim and reassign the Prize at its discretion. The Entrant who incorrectly received the Prize must return it at their own cost or pay the Promoter for the value of the Prize. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss, whether economic or consequential, suffered by those who incorrectly received a Prize. Additionally, the Promoter will ensure that its software and website function properly across the latest versions of popular internet, tablet, and mobile browsers. For the record, only the ticket in the Promoter’s system will be considered for the Competition, and no liability will be accepted for Entries affected by software malfunctions.
